Not only does the parallel not hold due to the morality of Abraham’s first born not being God’s choice for him (like sacred marriage and committed families are God’s choice in general), but also, God DID bring Ishmael and his mother back to Abraham’s house so they could be taken care of. Where’s the moral outrage in that tender act?
