Oscar, furious and defiant in the face of what he sees as the death of queer culture, begins a confusing relationship - is it friendship or something more? - with once-eminent novelist Sean Stokes, known for graphic stories of pre-AIDS hedonism.

Alternating chapters from Sebastian and Oscar’s points of view, Let’s Get Back to the Party recounts their mirrored struggles with generational envy, cultural identity, the traumas of history, and, ultimately, each other.
