Sweet. Always been curious about this writer. Admittedly so because of the backstory of fraud. But the story in the novel itself sounds like a sort of pulpy exploitation that can be great all on itself own regardless of its source or that source’s questionable (at best) willingness to do whatever it took to be a star. James Frey comes to mind. His books didn’t need to be factual to hold truth in the larger sense to which the best literary works tend aspire.
